International Youth Day
To celebrate International Youth Day 2021, we made two animated infovideos for PLCPD. Given the last remaining months of the 18th Congress, PLCPD wanted to push the urgency of passing the Prohibition of Child Marriage and Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention bills.
These advocacies directly concern the youth who therefore played a critical role in advocating for the passage of these bills. In preparation for the 2022 elections, PLCPD wanted to help them make a wise and informed vote to achieve agendas that would protect the rights and end all forms of violence against women and girls.
To attract more youth to join the #GirlDefenders movement, we used trendy and youthful visuals. We made stickers, simple line illustrations, and used a light palette to make the information in the videos more digestible and easier to understand.
In January 2022, the Philippines finally signed a law criminalizing child marriage in the country.
