Nothing Was the Same
I was asked to create poster designs for “Nothing Was the Same,” a TV pilot following the journey of three women set in Los Angeles, CA. Their lives intertwine as they navigate life, love, and relationships. The client wanted a creative poster that was an ode to nostalgic black movies from the 90’s such as Soul Food, For Colored Girls, and Set It Off. Keeping those references in mind, I designed two options for the poster and applied the 90s style in the layout or composition of the given stills while also exploring a bit more contemporary take for the title treatment.
